Haitian Community Center

A Haitian community center should help people feel supported in real ways. It should be a place to find guidance, connection, and practical steps forward. In the Little Haiti Global model, a Haitian community center is part of a Haitian-rooted community that supports a fresh start through housing, education, healthcare, and well-being.

What a Haitian community center means

A Haitian community center, in the Little Haiti Global model, is a Haitian-rooted hub that supports cultural belonging and integration while the first year is stabilized through housing, education, healthcare, and well-being. It helps participants access resources, build relationships, and move forward with dignity.

Most people seek a community center because they want clarity and support. They want help navigating new systems. They also want a place where culture is respected, and relationships can grow.

How Little Haiti Global delivers support

Little Haiti Global creates Haitian-rooted communities worldwide, one nation at a time. Each community is built on four pillars designed to support stability and dignity.

Housing and infrastructure

Participants receive one year of housing with electricity and running water. A stable home supports consistency and reduces stress.

Education and training

Participants complete one year of ESOL if needed. English-proficient participants may take up to six months of online vocational or trade training. Optional local language instruction may be available.

Healthcare and basic health coverage

Participants receive one year of basic health insurance, excluding dental, with support to navigate care. Optional extended plans may be available for purchase.

Mental health and well-being

Counseling, trauma support, mentoring, and peer mentorship are available to those who choose to engage. Community care supports healing and stability.
